FSEDB — Free Software Enjoyer Database

About

FSEDB — the Free Software Enjoyer DataBase — is a public grid of people who mainly run Linux. Every square is a person. Click one and it flips.

There is no signup, no backend, no analytics, no cookies. The database is a folder of YAML files in a git repository; the front-end is static. You join by sending a pull request — start with enroll, which builds your entry in your browser and hands you the files. Nothing you type there leaves your machine.

Entries pass the Rite (a terminal challenge any Linux box answers identically), a schema check, and one human review.

Before you put anything real in here, read think first. Short version: don't.

This site was inspired by the instant joy of airportcod.es. Code is GPL-3.0. Screenshots remain their submitters'. The badges are old-web folklore, lovingly preserved.
